HEALTH BENEFITS

Safety factors

.

Each year approximately 3,800 injuries and 34 deaths occur in homes across North America due to heating overheated tap water. The majority of these accidents involve the elderly and children under the age of five. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CRPSC) urges all users to lower their tank water heaters to 120 degrees, however, due to the inefficiency of traditional tank water heaters to heat the water. incoming while the tank is being drawn down, this safety procedure often results in cold showers. The SYSTEMS Tankless water heater supplies endless amounts of hot water at the desired temperature. Need over heat water to 120 degrees (or more!) And then mixing it with cold water to maintain a comfortable temperature is no longer necessary. On the other hand, because you don't have to reheat the water, you will save money too!

Legionnaires' disease and your water heater

.

Legionnaire bacteria are natural inhabitants of water found in rivers, lakes, and streams. Bacteria are found in virtually every building's water supply at relatively low concentrations. Bacteria only become life threatening when conditions favorable to it's growth exist. Legionnaire's disease is a type of pneumonia that affects the lungs. 10,000 - 100,000 cases of Legionnaire's disease occur in the US each year. Alarmingly, 5% - 15% of these cases are fatal, especially in smokers, the elderly and those whose immune systems deteriorate make them susceptible to bacterial infections. Bacteria have been found to thrive in domestic water heating systems where temperatures are kept at constant levels for extended periods of time. The ideal temperature for the growth of this particular bacteria is 95 - 131 degrees F. The incubation period is 2 - 10 days. Interestingly enough, this is the temperature maintained in the typical home conventional tank water heater, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In other words, all the conditions that are necessary for the growth of this disease are present in the average conventional residential tank of the water heater.

.

Why put your family at risk?

.

Replace your conventional water heater; by a HOT WATER TOUCH heater eliminates the conditions that breed this disease. The water is heated only once, as you use it. When nobody is using the hot water in your home, the temperature of the water in the pipes (Pipes) cools less than (95-131 degrees F) over 35-55 degrees Celsius, necessary for the growth of bacteria. The water temperature never stays above 95 degrees, for more than 15 - 20 minutes at a time, certainly not the 2 - 10 days required for bacteria to grow.
